Chris Draft Family Foundation Celebrates World Fitness Day
As part of the Chris Draft Family Foundation’s Get Checked and Get Fit™ initiative, the foundation will be on hand at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for World Fitness Day on Saturday, May 1. The fitness event, which benefits the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, centers on a workout with fitness guru Jane Fonda and several of her celebrity friends and will attempt to break the Guiness world-record for a fitness event with more than 3,000 participants.
“The excitement of the event is that it focuses on prevention,” Chris Draft said. “Fitness not just as a prevention tool for obesity, but other issues, such as pregnancy, as well. The Get Checked and Get Fit™ movement stresses the importance of balance of mind, body and soul in addressing today's problems.”
The Chris Draft Family Foundation will be on hand to talk about people with the importance of fitness and have the group share their health and fitness-related stories. They will also give out between 50 and 75 foundation Character shirts at the event and will be donating 10 signed copies of Chris Draft’s children’s book,” Do You Want to Play Catch?”, as the theme of the book focuses heavily on fitness.
The Chris Draft Family Foundation’s Get Checked and Get Fit™ initiative is a great match for the World Fitness Day event, as it focuses on education and fitness, as well as creating and maintaining strong family relationships.
