Rams Treat High School Football Players to Leatherheads
April 10, 2008
With the help of Allied Advertising and Public Relations, on behalf of the studio that released the film Leatherheads, Chris Draft and Rams’ teammates OJ Atogwe, Darius Vinnett, Tim McGarigle, Travis Minor, Josh Brown and Clifton Ryan treated local St. Louis high school football players to a special screening of Leatherheads.
The football players from St. Louis city schools Beaumont High School and Sumner High School were escorted by their “academic coaches” from the National Football Foundation’s Play It Smart program. Play It Smart is a nationwide program supported by the NFL to encourage high school football players to take responsibility for their futures through the lessons learned on the playing field. Players learn to translate their on-field lessons to the classroom and also provide service to the community around them.
Joining the Rams players for the screening included an informal dinner following the film, where the young men discussed character and their personal commitment to self-improvement.
