Chris Draft Leads Clinic for NFL Rookie Class of 2008
July 01, 2008
Former Camp Pendleton resident Chris Draft led the 2008 NFL Rookie class, made up of 252 of the league’s first-year players, into a flag football clinic on Tuesday, July 1.
As part of the 2008 NFL Rookie Symposium at the La Costa Resort and Spa, San Diego, CA, the football clinic, which is a traditional part of the annual rookie event, NFL rookies played flag football with children of enlisted servicemen and servicewomen from Camp Pendleton. The Camp Pendleton kids, 200 youth ages 8-14, learned the fundamentals of flag football from all of this year’s draftees. Camp Pendleton youth and NFL Rookies were combined into teams and then competed against each other on the fairway of an adjacent golf course.
