Benjamin Banneker Academic High School principal Anita Berger and three winners of the Washington, DC school’s The Great Debaters essay contest will accompany Chris Draft on a special tour of the West Wing of the White House on January 12. The idea for the tour, which was arranged by Ms. Jessica Bryant, was proposed after a congratulatory dinner hosted by the Foundation the weekend of October 11, 2008. After dining with Foundation staff at the elegant Westin Arlington Gateway Hotel, students read their winning essays and received tickets to the Rams/Redskins game.

The Foundation thanks Ms. Bryant for facilitating this wonderful opportunity and congratulates the students and Principal Berger on the high academic standard that warranted this honor.
