Banking on our Future is a financial education program for youth ages 9-18 at no cost to school districts, with a focus on urban, under-served communities. The program consists of five modules that are taught by volunteer HOPE Corp members who are trained to break down their knowledge of banking and credit into terms that youth can understand and utilize immediately. Through financial literacy, the language of money and the rules of free enterprise and capitalism, they can break the high-school drop-out cycle and help make education cool. All of the courses are taught by volunteers and take place in the communities they hope to impact, often times in the projects where the children live.
