The Foundation celebrated Summer Learning Day with the After-school All-stars at Long Middle School in Atlanta.
Summer Learning Day was created by the National Summer Learning Association. Summer Learning Day is June 21 This national advocacy day is a great opportunity to showcase your program and get the word out about the importance of summer learning.
Host an event during the week of June 21 or anytime during the summer! During this national showcase, summer learning programs will highlight how they work to:
Maintain and advance participants' academic and developmental growth
- Support working families
- Keep children safe and healthy
- Send young people back to school ready to learn
About After-school Allstars
National After-school Allstars is a national organization provides free comprehensive after-school programs to nearly 81,000 children in need on over 450 school sites in 12 different cities from NYC to Hawaii. Their programs incorporate academic support, enrichment opportunities, and health & fitness activities.
After School All Stars:
During the summer at various middle schools in Atlanta, After-school All-stars provide comprehensive after school programs that are fun for kids and also keep them safe and help them achieve success in school and life.
