In 2011, the Association of Community Cancer Centers awarded The AndersonCancer Institute an Innovator Award for the Anderson Cancer Institute successful tobacco education program.

The Anderson Cancer Institute holds a three-year Accreditation with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. They received accreditation in 2006 and again in 2009.

Also they have received the Commission on Cancer's Outstanding Achievement Award in both 2006 and 2009. The Anderson Cancer Institute was one of only 18 programs surveyed nationwide to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award in both 2006 and 2009.

Team Draft continues to visit the top cancer centers in America. In Gerogia we are the first state to have a Lung Cancer License Plate and we know that Lung Cancer Matters! As a team we have set forth a nationwide effort to tackle lung cancer.
