Military Appreciation Projects

• Camp LeJune, North Carolina On March 22, 2007, Chris Draft led a contingent of Carolina Panthers, including the Carolina Panther mascot “Sir Purr”, several TopCats Cheerleaders, members of the Panthers’ staff and teammates Terrence Melton and Taye Biddle to North Carolina’s Camp Lejeune.<more>
• Walter Reed Army Medical Center Walter Reed Army Medical Center is the Army’s largest healthcare facility, and one of the largest in the Department of Defense. Their mission is to provide health care and services to soldiers, their families, and a large community of military retirees. The hospital serves as a tribute to the vision, intelligence and dedication of the men and women who have worked there through the years. <more>
• Scott Air Force Base, Illinois Rams linebacker Chris Draft led the entire 2008 Rams rookie class on a tour of Scott Air Force Base in Illinois on June 17. <more>
• Camp Pendleton, California Former Camp Pendleton resident Chris Draft led the 2008 NFL Rookie class, made up of 252 of the league’s first-year players, into a flag football clinic on Tuesday, July 1. <more>
• Shepherd Center, Atlanta Chris Draft visited Shepherd Center, one of the nation’s top rehabilitation hospitals, on June 19, 2008. Shepherd Center, A Catastrophic Care Hospital in Atlanta has partnered with Home Depot co-founder and philanthropist Bernie Marcus to help wounded U.S. military service members and their families obtain additional care to promote their recovery from combat-related injuries. <more>
